A short introduction to my half term of teaching Everyone Can Draw, as well as a sneak peak of the end results that my students created.
In the first lesson we talked about shading, making flat images look 3D and how to add character & emotion to our art. This video shares some tips I picked up along the way.
Lesson 2 was all about mark making and shading, using the excellent guide in the Everyone Can Create curriculum. Each child took their ideas further to create a piece of art.
Creating block lettering proved to be a firm favourite activity with my classes, particularly when they could express themselves through bold colours.
Bubble writing was something that a lot of children initially thought they wouldn’t be able to do, but we followed step-by-step the instructions in the ECC guide and had amazing results!
The last lesson of my Half Term was to give the children the opportunity to be creative and to create Word Art based on an adjective of their choosing. The finished pieces absolutely blew me away.
